Ministry Description
An elder serves as a spiritual leader and works alongside the pastor and other church leaders to care for the congregation. Elders help lead worship services, offer prayer, encourage members, visit those who are sick or homebound, and provide support during times of need.
Through faithful service, biblical guidance, and a Christ-centered example, elders help strengthen the spiritual life and unity of the church. They may also assist with preaching, baptisms, Communion services, Bible studies, and other areas of ministry.
Above all, an elder seeks to serve with humility, help members grow in their relationship with Jesus, and support the mission of the church in the community.
Quote
“My desire is to serve with humility, encourage our church family, and help others grow in faith and a closer relationship with Jesus.”
